PARTNERSHIP 

The operation of Fare pote'e, cultural heritage of the people of Maeva, is the result of  a goodwill  interaction of  the villagers, including  the Ōpu Nui Association, and the Office of Tourism.

 

ŌPU NUI  ASSOCIATION


Research and restoration continues with the term focus of a permanent protection of Maeva sites and their natural environment. Since the early 1990s, the association Ōpu Nui implemented  to protect and promote the cultural heritage and
environment in Huahine and particularly the village of Maeva.

The restoration / reconstruction Fare pote'e was undertaken by the Department of Tourism as well as site management in partnership with the villagers and Opu Nui association. The department of tourism is represented by the Tourist Office of Huahine.
